Empowering Homeschoolers Through Connection and Learning — in the Hastings Region of NSW
At The Homeschool Studio, we support homeschool families across the Hastings Region with one full day of engaging, face-to-face learning in Wauchope, NSW. Designed for students in Years 5–10 (Ages 10–16), our program blends core academic subjects with hands-on projects, peer connection, and real-life learning — all while aligning with the NSW curriculum outcomes.
We Provide Support, Classes, and Community for Homeschool Families
Learning by Doing – Together! At the Homeschool Studio, we believe the best learning doesn’t always come from textbooks — it comes from doing, making, exploring, and thinking together. Each Tuesday & Wednesday, our students don’t just sit and listen. They:
Get hands-on with creative projects Brainstorm business ideas in groups Solve real-life maths problems Run mini science experiments Work on art Collaborate, laugh, and learn from others
This is school reimagined — for homeschoolers who want more of a practical approach to learning, socialising and yes, everything ties back to the NSW syllabus for easy registration and approval.
At the end of the term, your child takes home a full portfolio of work + outcomes met.
Need a quiet, structured space for your child to work while you get things done?
✅ What’s included: ✓ Supervised, quiet working environment ✓ Light academic support when needed ✓ Social interaction with peers 🚫 What’s not included: ✓ No lessons or teaching ✓ No resources provided ✓ Bring own materials
We are friends, Ronel (an accredited secondary maths teacher) and Karen (a qualified accountant and business specialist). We’re both homeschooling parents who wanted more for our teens — more connection, more clarity, more confidence. So, we built a one-day-a-week drop-and-go program that delivers: Real learning, not just busywork Face-to-face lessons, not endless screens Creative, critical thinking, not rote memorisation And support for you, not just your child
💡 We are First Aid trained and hold valid Working With Children Checks.
We’re passionate about supporting families who want the freedom of homeschooling without sacrificing structure, quality, or connection. We provide a safe, social, and academically focused day that meets NSW curriculum standards
Our full-day program starts from $120 per child, per day, payable per term (10 weeks) — not day-to-day. Family discount applies for additional children.
NDIS Funding
Please note that our programs are privately funded and we do not accept NDIS funding or provide services under the NDIS. All enrolments are self-funded by families.
What we provide
We offer a fully equipped learning environment with hall hire included, all stationery and resources supplied, small group settings, structured lessons aligned to the NSW curriculum, and end-of-term progress reports and portfolios
What ages/years do we cover?
We support homeschoolers in Years 5–10, typically ages 10 to 16
What safety measures do you have?
All staff hold Working With Children Checks and are First Aid certified. We maintain a safe, respectful environment with clear behaviour expectations, and we follow emergency procedures and sign-in/out protocols to ensure every child’s wellbeing.
Do we offer a trial lesson?
We don’t offer trial lessons because our program is designed to be consistent. Friendships grow when students stay in the same group, and our projects build on each other week by week throughout the term. For this reason, we ask families to commit for the whole term.
What you provide
Water bottle, morning fruit, lunch
What days does it run?
Choose either Tuesday or Wednesday for our full-day program. Supervision-only days are also available — contact us to learn more. To keep our groups small and consistent, we ask families not to switch between the Tuesday and the Wednesday. If you need flexibility, get in touch — we’ll do our best to accommodate special circumstances.
How do you handle children with different learning needs?
We offer a supportive and flexible environment, with small groups that allow us to adapt to different learning styles. Our high school maths teacher tailors materials when needed, and as mums, we understand that every child learns differently—so we approach each one with patience and care.
Can you help me with registering my child for homeschool?
Absolutely! It is an additional service we provide for $150. It includes: registering your child for homeschool, preparing all the necessary documents, planning an reporting, ready for your first appointment with your AP. Everything is done for you, so you can start homeschooling stress-free. We also help with re-registrations to ensure you get 1-2 year approval instead of a couple of months ($250).
